Last Saturday at Edgar Street there was a collection in aid of The Haven breast cancer support centre in St Owen’s Street. It raised £700.
And as well as collecting, some of the young ladies put on a dance display at half-time.
"We are so pleased that Hereford United are supporting us in this way, and has given us this valuable opportunity to reach so many people and tell them all about this very important local charity," said Lesley Leach, The Haven’s Community Fundraiser.
"And I was so proud of the girls. The youngest dancer is aged just 14, and she was brave enough to lead the girls on to do their performance at half time. They were all very nervous before the match, but thoroughly enjoyed dancing for the crowds, and more importantly, the crowds thoroughly enjoyed watching them.
"It was a fantastic way to launch The Haven’s Hereford in Pink campaign, and breast cancer awareness month."
