Hereford United manager Jamie Pitman has said that he is happy to talk to supporters about the poor start to the season. There have been calls by some fans for him to quit especially after last Tuesday's 2-0 home defeat by Aldershot.
"We have a very small budget and there are players here who are on long-term contracts from before I took over," Pitman told the Worcester News.
"If fans want to spout off on messageboards that is up to them but, if they want to speak to me, I will tell them about the situation we are in and the difficulties that we have.
"Don’t hide behind a keyboard, come and talk to me.
"I feel that we will come good, it is about getting the players enjoying their football, getting them to relax so when they go out on to pitch they can do the things we have been working on in training."
This afternoon the Bulls take on Gillingham at Edgar Street. Pitman and his squad will need to get something from this game or calls for him to quit are likely to increase.
