Accrington assistant boss Jimmy Bell has accepted £2,500 compensation from Crewe after he was wrestled to the ground by Gresty Road stewards at the end of the game between the two sides back in April 2010. The out of court settlement was offered by Crewe's insurers, and Bell will hand some of the money to two of Stanley's supporters groups.
Plymouth's staff have agreed a deferment of wages only until the 26th of September. Bidder James Brent believes he will be able to make a firm bid for the club by then. Oxford have signed winger Andy Haworth from Bury for an initial month. The 22 year old has made six sub appearances for the Shakers in the League this season.
Northampton defender Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi has been ruled out for several months with serious knee ligament damage picked up during Tuesday's win over Wimbledon. He will undergo surgery after lasting just 23 minutes after coming on as a sub. The Conference have backed midfielder Steven Connors after he was sacked by Cambridge just five weeks after signing for them. The U's claimed he withheld details of an existing groin injury, but Connors appealed the sacking and the authorities found in his favour. The club will appeal the decision.
