Port Vale fans have reacted angrily after the club announced that Micky Adams would stand as the fifth board member needed for the club to function. At present Adams cannot sign new players as the board cannot sanction the moves as there is not enough of them. Fans group North London Valiants, who were told they would be given the choice of candidate, has told fans 'the board cannot be trusted to keep their word' with Adams backed by the shares of one of the deposed directors, while the Supporters Club has warned Adams his popularity will be jeopardised by the move.

Plymouth have confirmed the sale of winger Yannick Bolasie to Bristol City for an as-yet undisclosed fee. Swindon are reported to be on the verge of signing Chelsea youngster Milan Lalkovic on loan for the season. The Slovakian teenage striker has been with the club since he was 14 but is yet to make the first team. Wrexham's Supporters Trust has confirmed that it has now started due dilligence on the club ahead of their planned takeover.

Ex-Bull Clint Easton has signed a new one year deal with Ebbsfleet. The newly promoted Conference side report him as playing as a centre half at present. Rushden have had their points deduction for financial irregularities confirmed at the Conference AGM. They will meet Conference chiefs today over their current difficulties. Also getting a points deduction is Kettering, who lose two points after failing to register a loan extension correctly.

Bristol Rovers have signed experienced midfielder Matt Gill following his release from Norwich. The 30 year old turned down Exeter and Walsall with the Pirates offering a three year deal. Barnet have suffered a financial blow with the loss of their annual pre-season visit of Arsenal. The Gunners also used to use Underhill as their reserve team home, but it will now host only four matches next season.

Torquay keeper Scott Bevan is Bristol Rovers' second signing of the day. The giant stopper follows manager Paul Buckle to the Memorial Ground after three seasons with the Gulls. Shrewsbury are to scrap their reserve side next season and seek friendly matches with local opposition.
