Northampton Town manager Gary Johnson has commented about Hereford United's three point deduction for fielding an unregistered player.
"It (the deduction) was good news for us,” Johnson told the Northampton Chronicle.
"I feel sorry for them but that shows what I mean when I say everybody in the football club earns a result.
"That was one where not everybody in the club did their job properly and they lost three points for it. It shows how important these things are and to be professional.
"They will see that as a really bad situation for them because all of a sudden it’s a bit doom and gloom. They’ve not been winning a lot of games and now they’ve lost some points, but the good thing for us is that it’s another team below us that has got to try to get out of trouble."
Northampton, who are level on points with the Bulls, play Bury this afternoon.
