Cheltenham eased their sinking feeling with a surprise 3-2 win at Bury.
At the top Bury's loss means Chesterfield still lead by 13 points, with Wycombe's 1-1 draw at Shrewsbury moving them level on points with the Shakers. The Shrews are four points behind in fourth, level on points with Gillingham, but both are only two points inside the play-offs after a string of challengers won today. Torquay push Port Vale out of the play-offs after the Valiants lost 3-0 at Accrington, with Stevenage a point behind after beating Lincoln 2-1. Oxford are a further point behind after beating Crewe 2-1, and Accrington are a point behind them.
In the Conference Wrexham were the only one of the top five in action, losing 1-0 at play-off challengers Fleetwood. Forest Green drew 0-0 with fast sinking Newport, while York's play-off bid was dented with a 2-1 loss at Cambridge.
At the foot of League One Bristol Rovers, Walsall, Dagenham, Yeovil, and Tranmere all won, leaving Plymouth - who lost 1-0 at home to Rochdale - six points adrift. Swindon are five adrift after a 0-0 draw at Huddersfield, while the raft of winning sides mean that Sheff Weds are only four points clear of the bottom four now.
