Abdominal Problem Hits Malsom

Hereford United's Sam Malsom has picked up an abdominal problem and has returned to Edgar Street from Gloucester City. He was due to play his last game for the Tigers this evening.

Another Bull, Tyler Weir, remains on loan and is likely to feature at Nuneaton this evening.

Tiger's manager Dave Mehew is pleased with the loans and would like contacts with Hereford manager Jamie Pitman to continue.

"I would like to think that we can keep the relationship we have with Hereford as it's hopefully been of benefit to both clubs," Mehew told this is Gloucester.

"Jamie Pitman has the perception that young players need to have the experience of playing proper adult football and that has benefited us.

"That's quite a refreshing attitude as I certainly think that some of these young players need hardening up to be ready to play what I would call proper football.

"We've had young players that have come from Cheltenham Town and Bristol Rovers and physically they've not been ready for it.

"Hopefully if we can get a reputation for helping them out with that side of things. It's something that can benefit the players in the long run."

Meanwhile Sam Gwynne played only a couple of minutes of AFC Telford's 3-0 win at Hyde last night.
