A point gained says Pitman

Hereford United manager Jamie Pitman thought that this afternoon 2-2 draw with Torquay was a point gained for the Bulls.

"Definitely a point gained," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"Against a very good Torquay side who came and really got at us, and especially to come back after being down twice in the game.

"The tempo was very flat, it wasn't a great atmosphere. At halftime we tried to gee them up a little bit and increase the tempo and their belief in themselves."

After equalising for the second time it was noticable that the Bulls seemed more intent on stopping the Gulls scoring than trying to win the game themselves.

"We were under a little bit of pressure in the last ten minutes. But saying that their goalkeeper has made a couple of good saves. Maybe a fair result."

Pitman was then asked by Keith Hall what positives he took from todays game.

"We can still score goals and we're prepared to work.

"I'm pleased for Manny. He's improvised and that's good to see.

"Stuart has been looking very sharp in the last few weeks. If that sort of energy can get transferred around to everybody that's ideal."

Fleetwood took a knock just before he was subbed and after the final whistle was seen with an ice pack in his sock. He's expected to be okay for Monday.
