Burton have signed Crewe striker Calvin Zola on loan until the end of the season. The former Tranmere man passed a medical at Northampton, and also spoke to Bristol Rovers, before opting for the Pirelli Stadium outfit. Stockport have lost the services of Burnley loan striker Wes Fletcher after he was recalled by new boss Eddie Howe so he could assess all his players.
Gillingham have missed out on the signature of veteran forward Lloyd Owusu after he opted to join Luton. The former Brentford and Yeovil man had also been on trial with Port Vale but was not offered a deal. Port Vale have released midfielder Tommy Fraser by mutual consent after boss Jim Gannon said he wasn't in his plans. The former Brighton trainee has started only seven games this season.
Lincoln have failed in a bid to sign Notts County central defender Graeme Lee. The 32 year old has played just once since being sent off in September but boss Paul Ince has opted to keep him at Meadow Lane. Plymouth say they still need £500,000 to limp their way through the season after a series of player sales and redundancies. Peter Ridsdale has threatened to quit the club if the owners, one of which has never seen the side play, don't stump up some cash by the end of the month.
Macclesfield have signed defender Tony Diagne until the end of the season. The 20 year old is a former Nottm Forest trainee who has been playing in the French amateur fourth division since leaving the City Ground. Morecambe winger Mark Duffy is a target of Scunthorpe. The former Southport man has been a star performer since graduating into League football.
Crewe say they may offer striker Clayton Donaldson a new deal if they win promotion this term. The £200,000 signing is still on League One level wages and is unlikely to want to stay a League Two player. Macclesfield have signed striker Simon Yeo on non-contract terms. The 37 year old left the Silkmen two years ago to drop into the non-league game but has made a surprise return on a part-time basis.
Northampton have signed New Zealand youth international Michael Built on an 18 month deal. The teenage midfielder has spent the last year training with the club after being spotted in a New Zealand touring party. Port Vale are reported to be set to sign Peterboro defender Exodus Geoghaghon on loan until the end of the season. He spent the first half with Rotherham and Shrewsbury.
Kidderminster benefactor David Reynolds has quit the club and waived his loans that he previously wanted repaid by any buyer. He put £75,000 into the ailing Conference side in November to keep them going, but his insistence on repayment scuppered a deal three weeks ago. Oxford have extended the loan of Plymouth striker Steve MacLean until the end of the season. The £500,000 Scot has scored twice in nine games since joining the U's in November.
