Speaking to the Milkmen's Official Site after the Tuesday evening encounter, Accrington manager John Coleman was critical of a number of decisions that granted the South Shropshire outfit what he considered an undeserved three points.
"I don't think Shrewsbury will believe that they've won the game 3-1," said Coleman.
"They had a little spell in the first half after we battered them for the first 20 minutes but we took that lead."
"We've had to defend a corner that we shouldn't have to defend. The referee gave them one of possibly 12 free kicks that weren't free kicks tonight. They had a big leg up off the referee tonight. Anybody who is neutral who has watched the game tonight, if they can't see that Shrewsbury have had a leg up then they don't know a lot about football."
"They've had numerous free kicks that weren't free kicks and one led to a corner that led to a goal. Having said that we should defend the corner better."
"The next big call the referee makes he doesn't give us a penalty to make it 2-2 and they go up the other end and make it 3-1."
"There's no way, shape or form Shrewsbury are a better team than us. Even though we didn't play our best tonight we were still better than them tonight."
