Ipswish defender turned down move to Hereford

It's been reported that Shane O'Connor, an Ipswich left-back, recently turned down a loan move to Hereford United. He wanted to fight for a place in Roy Keane's match day squads.

According to the TWTD site, it wasn't Hereford that was the problem but the idea of going out on loan.

"Shane had an opportunity to go out," said Keane a few days after the loan window ended.

"I spoke to him on Thursday and he wanted to stay and I’ve no problem with that.

"We feel that some of our young players can go out to get experience."
