Cooper Demands Werling Fee

Darlington boss Mark Cooper seems convinced full back Dominik Werling wants to come to Edgar Street.

The pair had a bust up in training last week, with the Northern Echo joining the dots of Cooper's comments, and Werling has put in a transfer request so that he can return to Germany as his mother is ill. Cooper seems convinced it is a ruse to engineer a move to Edgar Street, telling the paper: "We'll not let him go for nothing to an English club. I think it's important that we get that on record.

"To be fair to the club they brought him in, they have paid for his accommodation but he wants to go. Somebody wants him. If an English club wants him they've got my mobile number, they can ring me and I'll tell them how much he's going to cost."

It is unclear whether the Bulls would be in the market for another full back, with four players available to play in the full back roles in addition to current incumbents Ryan Green and Ryan Valentine, but boss Simon Davey signed Werling for both Darlington and Barnsley.
