Hereford United manager Simon Davey has said that he will not be signing Simon Whaley.
25 year old Whaley played for Davey when the two were at Barnsley together. He was released by Norwich City at the end of last season.
Meanwhile a former Hereford United player is on trial at Telford.
Karl Broadhurst is trying for a contract at the Shropshire club after being released by Crawley.
Assistant manager Darren Read told BBC Radio Shropshire: "He is going to train with us and we're very interested in him.
"He has bags of experience and is a very highly rated player. Karl is very comfortable on the ball and a commanding figure, a natural leader on the pitch,"
