Former Hereford United goalkeeper Craig Mawson is off to Asia on tour. He has been brought into the Burnley squad at short notice as they are currently short of keepers.
Mawson already works at Burnley as a goal-keeping coach at their centre of excellence.
"Diego (Penny) has picked up a bit of a thigh injury and we have to have a goalkeeping back-up for Brian Jensen so Craig Mawson has come in," said Burnley manager Brian Laws.
"He's part of the football club anyway and works with the goalkeepers.
"He is still playing so he will be the back-up for a short period and he's a nice guy as well, so we're pleased he's on the trip."
31 year old Mawson will keep goal for Hyde United this coming season.
