LMA Puts Average Job At 1.4 Years

The League Managers Associations says the average manager now lasts just 1.4 years - the lowest ever figure.

Managers now last an average of 511 days in their jobs, down by 25 days on last season. In League Two the average boss lasted less than a season with both Notts County and Darlington having three different permanent managers through the season.

51 of the 92 clubs in the top four divisions changed their boss during the 2009/10 season, 36 of those managers were dismissed including 12 first-time bosses.
