Results Round-Up

Darlington are now sixteen points short of safety with 27 left to play for after their loss to the Bulls allowed both Cheltenham and Grimsby to pull further clear. The Mariners beat Accrington 3-2 but failed to close the gap with Cheltenham also winning, 2-1 at Crewe. Torquay drew 0-0 at Northampton to see their safety margin cut to nine points. Barnet got some much needed points with a 3-1 win over Chesterfield, moving them above the Gulls, while Macclesfield beat Bradford 2-1 to draw level on points with Lincoln. The Imps lost 3-1 at home to Morecambe.


At the top Rochdale and Bournemouth played out a goalless draw to retain first and third respectively, while Notts County beat Shrewsbury 1-0 to hold second with the Shrews six points short of the play-offs. Aldershot moved into the play-offs with a 3-0 win over Rotherham, who hold fourth but are now five points short of an automatic place. Dagenham slipped out of the play-off spots with a 3-1 loss to Port Vale, with Bury beating Burton 3-0 to stay in touch after a dismal run.


In the Conference Luton hit six again as they recorded their ninth straight win with a demolition of Grays. Stevenage hold their two point lead after beating Wimbledon 3-0, while Oxford beat Salisbury 1-0 to keep vague hopes of a late charge. Kidderminster drew 1-1 with Rushden, while Forest Green remain in trouble after losing 4-3 at home to Tamworth.


At the bottom of League One Stockport's relegation will be confirmed if they lose any of their final six matches following a 2-1 loss at Norwich. Wycombe need nine points more after losing 2-1 to Walsall, while Southend are back in danger after losing 3-0 at Gillingham - a scoreline that Tranmere were also on the wrong end of at Swindon. Leyton Orient, who sacked their manager on Saturday night, lost 2-1 at Southampton to remain outside the drop zone on goal difference only.
