News Round Up

Accrington fans have been warned they will have their home terrace closed if they repeat recent scenes where flares and other flammable items were set off during celebrations. The items are a breach of health and safety rules, and they could set fire to their massive collection of flags. Burton midfielder Michael Simpson has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a fractured eye socket.

Rotherham have released former Yeovil midfielder Gary Roberts after his short term contract expired. He played 13 times for the club, but was sent off in his final appearance in mid-February and has not featured since. Kettering boss Lee Harper has told the BBC how much his side's finances have been restrained since chairman Imran Ladak pulled the plug: "We were paying two strikers £10,000 a month, and now I can't be giving £250 a week."

Huddersfield have revealed that more than 2,000 ticket holders didn't bother to watch last night's win over Oldham. The announced figure of 14,561 was the total number of ticket sold, but less than 12,500 actually attended the match. Morecambe have extended the loan of Colchester winger Simon Hackney until the end of the season. Gary Hooper is claimed by the Daily Mirror to be a target of QPR.

Forest Green have met the initial £18,000 payment on time to clear their tax debt. Barnet's forward options have been reduced after Peterboro recalled striker Ben Wright from his loan spell. He only made three sub appearances in his month at the club. An unofficial report from Stockport's administrators say a third consortium is now in the race for the club. Original bidder Jim Melrose remains in the running and the administrator is waiting on further answers from the League about his bid.
