Keeper Crisis at Grimsby

Grimsby Town, who visit Edgar Street on Saturday, have a keeper crisis this morning.

Regular shot-stopper Nick Colgan missed the Mariners last two games, at Northampton and Accrington, after being injured in training.

Reserve keeper Leigh Overton has also been injured and Grimsby brought in Mark Oxley from Hull as cover on an emergency seven day loan deal.

However Oxley has been recalled by the Tigers.

"Nick has gone for a scan on his injury and Leigh Overton is still out – it remains to be seen whether Nick will be fit for the weekend," manager Neil Woods told The Grimsby Telegraph.

"If he's not fit for Saturday we would have to look at the situation and possibly speak to Hull about Mark Oxley again.

"They have called Mark back and that's their prerogative, but Mark has done very well for us."
