Notts County's pre-Xmas game with Bournemouth has been switched to Monday 21st December for live Sky coverage. The Magpies have put assistant boss Dave Kevan and coach Michael Johnson in caretaker charge of the club, with recently departed Wycombe boss Peter Taylor one of the more realistic candidates touted for the permanent job. Meanwhile, the game of musical Chairboys continues with current Aldershot boss, Gary Waddock, now being rumoured to in line for the Wycombe HighChair. Grimsby striker Nathan Jarman has broken his foot for the second time this season, and will miss a further month after starting just two games since the original injury in pre-season.

Chester have abandoned their appeal against the 15 point deduction that almost halted their season. New chairman Ian Anderson has said the £100,000 claimed cost of the appeal will be better spent strengthening the squad. Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has asked fans to drop plans for a protest at the FL over their transfer embargo as he believes that antagonising the rulemakers will make the embargo even harder to get rid of. Darlington are trialling Crystal Palace striker Simon Thomas. The 25 year old has only made one sub appearance for the Eagles, but had a four game spell at Ebbsfleet earlier in the season. Rotherham have appointed Andy Dibble as their new goalkeeping coach.
