Bulls good value at 15/8

BettingZone have published this preview of Saturday's game between Hereford United and Chesterfield.

John Sheridan was delighted to see his Chesterfield side pick up their first away win of the season at Bournemouth last week but they could be brought back down to earth with a bump on Saturday.

The Spireites claimed a 2-1 away win against the league leaders in Dorset but we're not going to get carried away by that one result.

Under Sheridan's guidance, Oldham famously dumped Everton out of the FA Cup at Goodison and regularly turned over the top six in League One but their finishing position was never what it should have been and we should expect a similar outcome with Chesterfield this term.

This weekend, the Spireites travel to Hereford and there would appear to be no shortage of value in siding the home win at odds of 15/8.

It seems to have escaped the layers' attention when pricing up this game that the hosts have also been upsetting the heavyweights in recent weeks.

Last weekend's last-gasp draw against Rotherham at Don Valley ensured that John Trewick's men emerged from a triple-header against the top three clubs unbeaten, with five points on the board.

So the visit from a fluctuating mid-table outfit will hold no fears for the resurgent Bulls.

Hereford have vastly improved on the standards they were offering in the opening weeks of the campaign and while it's a fact not yet illuminated by the league table, it should only be a matter of time before they start climbing away from the danger zone without too much fanfare.

Chesterfield had collected just one point from five away games prior to their Dean Court triumph, so it's a mystery why they should be such clear favourites for this one.
