News Round Up

The official Cambridge website is carrying calls for chairman George Rolls to stand down following Martin Ling's departure earlier today. Both the Fans Trust and major shareholder Paul Barry have called for Rolls' departure, with the chairman being blamed for the departures of both Ling and former boss Gary Brabin. Torquay have confirmed the signing of Peterboro defender Kieran Charnock on a two year deal.

Ex-Bull Jose Veiga has signed a 12 month deal with Macclesfield. The hapless Cape Verde keeper played just once for the Bulls during his stint as third choice keeper, conceding four goals.Northampton have turned down a transfer request from defender Danny Jackman, their current Player of the Year. Bradford have signed midfielder Michael Flynn after he agreed a mutual termination on the final year of his Huddersfield contract.

Burton have signed former Derby defender Marc Edworthy on an initial one month deal. Bournemouth captain Danny Hollands will miss the first month of the season after undergoing surgery on a knee problem.
