Bulls News has received the following Email from Trevor Owens, head of sport, at BBC Hereford and Worcester confirming arrangements for match coverage in the coming season.
Thanks for the email... The plan is to continue to provide commentary for all away matches, although, as you might imagine this is a fair financial commitment for the station at a time when everybody's financial belt is having to be tightened - contrary to popular belief, the BBC is certainly not immune to this... especially in local radio!
However, we will be doing all of the away league games, starting on Saturday at Morecambe. Keith Hall will again be our commentator.
We will also be doing the usual updates from the home matches but, as I am sure you can appreciate, the costs involved in doing commentary on every home match are prohibitive, and is hardly the best use of resources when a lot of your potential audience is inside the ground cheering on the team!
So, it will be away commentaries and home updates - as per last season, although we may do a small number of home games should they sell out, or should the Bulls draw Manchester United at home in the cup etc.
