Another Day More Predictions

First prediction of the day comes from Square Football and they suggest Hereford United will finish in 10th place.

It was always going to be tough for Hereford United to survive in League One following promotion and, despite Graham Turner’s ability in securing decent players in the loan market, the Bulls spent the entire campaign in the drop-zone and eventually finished some 16-points shy of safety.

First team coach John Trewick has now been promoted to the top job (with Turner continuing in the role of Director of Football and Chairman) and has undertaken a major overhaul of the squad. Much could depend on the fitness of striker Leon Constantine and the ability of midfielder Kenny Lunt to raise his game to the level he is capable of. Given the increasingly importance of the loan market at this level of the game, Turner’s contacts book is also likely to get plenty of use.

The turnover of players over the summer has been pretty substantial, but Hereford should still finish closer to the top than the bottom of the table.

PREDICTION: 10th

The second prediction comes from the Guardian:

Hereford United

Manager John Trewick

One to watch Marc Pugh, 22

After 14 years Graham Turner has made way for Trewick and only four senior players remain from the team that finished bottom of League One last season. Goals were in short supply in pre-season so much depends on the strikers, Leon Constantine and Lee Morris.

Prediction Mid-table mediocrity
