The transfer fee for Paul Parry's move to Preston is reported to be £250,000 according to the South Wales Echo.
When Parry left Hereford United for Cardiff City in 2004 it was said that the fee was £75,000 with add-ons one of which was playing for Wales.
Always assuming there was a sell-on clause in the deal, Hereford United could receive as much as £35,000. However that will depend on whether the sell-on clause took the original fee into the calculation or the total fee which would include the add-ons.
The paper says the total fee was £150,000 in which case the sell-on clause might only be worth £20,000.
Still better than nothing.
