The 47 year old has spent just three months out of the game after his return to Brighton turned sour in February. He won promotion from League Two with Fulham, in 1997, and Brighton, in 2001.
Meanwhile Rotherham have confirmed the signing of Crewe striker Tom Pope in a club record equalling £150,000 deal. The 23 year old scored 17 times in 64 games for the Railwaymen after coming through the youth ranks but has signed a three year deal at the Millers.
