It's up to the Police says Turner

After his excellent appearance in front of the Home Affairs Committee at Westminster yesterday it was back to Edgar Street today for Hereford United chairman Graham Turner.

However, once again, the subject of vicinity charges and invoices from the police came up in an interview this morning and Turner made it plain that the ball was now firmly in the hands of the West Mercia Police.

"Our solicitors are confident that what the police are asking is not covered under present legislation. So we'll fight it all the way," said Turner as spoken to the official site.

"The police have got two options - they can withdraw the invoices or they have to start proceedings against us.

"We've got a very strong case particularily in view of the areas they are talking about so I can't see how it can reach a conclusion unless one of those two things happens, that they withdraw or start proceedings."
