Carlisle boss Greg Abbott will have further talks with defender Josh Gowling with the former Bournemouth man still rumoured to be a Bulls transfer target.
Gowling, who had a nose operation last week to cure a breathing problem, will meet Abbott in Coventry next week with both men hailing from the city:
"It’s not the end of the road for Josh because he has another year on his contract" Abbott told the News & Star,
"We're both from Coventry and we're both back there visiting our parents next week so we will meet up down there. We will have a chat face to face to see what Josh is thinking and what I'm thinking and what plans we have for each other."
Abbott played Gowling only once after becoming manager, and gave the 25 year old permission to play for the Bulls against the Cumbrians during his loan at Edgar Street.
