Tranmere Travel Update

We have received the following welcome advice from Tranmere fan, Mark Haldon

Hi, Tranmere fan here. Just to pre-warn you that the Soccerbus no longer runs to the ground, its either walk or get a normal service bus from Birkenhead Bus Station (out of central station, turn right, straight across the first roundabout under the flyover, continue straight on to the next roundabout and turn left. The bus station is just after the entrance to the multi storey car park on the left.). Buses that run near the ground are the 164 (stand 8), 293 (stand 2), 423 (stand 3) and 41/42/71/72 (stand 4) on Sundays and Bank Holidays. The 164 and 293 pass the ground, whereas the others go up Singleton Avenue which is a 5 minute or so walk from Prenton Park (the bus takes about 5 minutes from the bus station).

Also be aware that Merseyrail is off between Birkenhead Central and Liverpool through the bank holiday, so anyone coming from the Liverpool direction will be on buses from Liverpool over to Birkenhead. The Chester to Birkenhead part of the line is operating as normal.
Hope this helps you.
Mark

Can someone buy him a pint please ;)
