Swindon boss Danny Wilson praised his side's professionalism when speaking to their official site:
"You can set your standards and we did that today. We didn't play as fluidly as we did on Tuesday night, but Hereford competed very well. The first goal settled the nerves and to score so early in the second half was a massive bonus.
"I thought the second goal was offside but the Referee must have seen something because he didn't change his mind. These things level themselves out and that was the bit of good fortune we have been due. That was the goal that knocked the stuffing out of them.
"Simon Cox has done really well and I wouldn't bet against him 30 goals this season. Billy and Coxy are working incredibly hard and they are getting the rewards for that now. Long may it continue.
"The clean sheet was a bonus. We could have had a few clean sheets over the past few weeks but we are now showing the confidence to defend and we are a lot more positive in our decisions."
