Gary Hooper returned to haunt the Bulls again, much as his lack of signature on an Edgar Street contract has done all season, as the Iron ran out comfortable 3-0 winners with a trio of near-identical goals. Even radio co-commentator Matt Baker questioned the lateness of Graham Turner's 87th minute substitutions, calling them '40 minutes too late'.
64 Bulls were in the very low crowd of 3,672 - with Coventy reserve team manager Steve Ogrizovic also in the away end.
