Charity Football Match for St Michael's Hospice

Well known Bulls supporter Kevin Wargen is the Mayor of Hereford and during his year in office he is busy raising money for a charity of his choice.

Kevin's charity is St. Michael's Hospice, and he have been relentlessly fundraising since May last year. His year in office finishes in May and his friends all want him to go out on a high.

So on Sunday March 29th at 2.30pm there will be a charity football match of which a Mayor's 11, mostly made up of Hereford fans, will be playing an old boy Pegasus team The game will be held at the Pegasus pitch which is on Old School Lane just off the Roman Road.

It is hoped as many people as possible will come and show their support, every single penny raised goes to the hospice. There will be a programme, a draw and hopefully an auction as well.

It will cost just £2 to watch the game, 'a bargain for the entertainment on offer'. As well as Mayor Wargen, other characters including Gary Smith, Oxo and Ben James are expected to play.

It should be a great afternoon, and all for a fantastic cause. The Hospice relys solely on donations to stay open, everybody has been affected in one way or another by cancer or some other horrible illness, the hospice provides restbite for families and careers, and it gives a peaceful end for those who leave us. It is a truely a beautiful place, run by the most amazing staff, so PLEASE PLEASE come and show your support, tell all your friends about it, and if you cannot make it but wish to make a donation you can contact Kevin at the Town Hall in Hereford, or send a cheque made out to St Michael's Hospice, or the Mayors charity, to Kevin.
