The gap to safety is now just three points for the Bulls after tonight's win. Swindon's 1-1 draw at Millwall puts them three points ahead of the Bulls on the same matches played, while Brighton (two points ahead, same games) and Leyton Orient (three points ahead, played two games more than the Bulls) didn't play. Cheltenham's hopes of ten wins in eighteen looks bleak after a 1-0 loss to Stockport put them nine points adrift of their target. Crewe beat Southend 1-0 but remain five points short.
Yeovil's reaction to Russell Slade's departure was a first loss in five with a 3-0 thumping by local rivals Bristol Rovers. At the top Leicester edged closer with a 2-2 draw at Hartlepool, but remain 16 points inside the promotion zone after Saturday's visitors Peterboro drew 1-1 at Tranmere.
In League Two Brentford remain top on goal difference after Wycombe won 1-0 at Dagenham. Bradford and Darlington were goalless, while Shrewsbury beat Chester 1-0 with Nick Chadwick only playing the first half.
In the Conference Burton edged closer to the League with a 2-1 win over Wrexham. Kidderminster suffered another loss, 3-1 at home to Cambridge, to slip three points away from the play-offs.
Meanwhile in the Johnstones Paint Trophy Luton will face Scunthorpe in the final after the Hatters beat Brighton on penalties, while Gary Hooper netted for the Irons to see off Rotherham 3-0 on aggregate.
