Leeds Fans unhappy with Performance

Even a neutral would have to admit that Hereford United made the once mighty Leeds United very ordinary at Edgar Street last night.

And the Leeds supporters who were at the game made their feelings known.

Manager Simon Grayson must have heard the chants. He didn't look a very happy man at the end of the ninety minutes.

The Yorksire Post described the scenes.

Not a single person within earshot of the 2,000 visiting spectators in Hereford last night could have missed their scathing verdict.

A chant of "we're s*** and we're sick of it" echoed around Edgar Street in the few remaining minutes of a game that humiliated Leeds in a way which would surely have hurt Grayson in his days as a fan. It visibly pained him as he faced up to the media after full-time.

And here are a couple of views from Leeds Supporters:

Firstly Mike Woodhead:

well im a leeds fan living in hereford and i can see us in league one again next season, considering hereford lost 3 of there centre halves to injury on saterday at cheltenham,i really thought it would be our 3 points ,but watching that tonight i was horified,it was trash, and ive got to say, trundles pen was school boy stuff i was just to the one side of it,and he hit so softly it was dreadfull,i just feel so sorry 4 all those leeds fans that made that long trip down to after sit and watch leeds play like a pub team,o and thanks MR BECKFORD FOR REALLY HELPING OUR CAUSE WOT A MUPPET YOU REALLY ARE.

Secondly 'Richard':

I was at the game and I must say that Hereford are a poor, poor side. The worrying thing about my view of Hereford is that they still deserved to win with their two shots on goal and 100% goal to shots ratio. We had none (not counting the weak penalty). Absolutely shocking display. Just pulling a Leeds shirt on is not good enough, you have to earn the right to wear it!

Finally Hereford United historian Ron Parrott summed it up:

Come on you Leeds fans, at least give Hereford some credit! We lost all 3 of our central defenders to injury last Saturday and fielded a very weakened side. It's no more than sour grapes to suggest that Hereford were a "poor, poor side" We played the better passing game, created the better chances (dubious penalty apart - watch the replay!!) and at the end of the day, we "wanted it" more than Leeds did! Swallow your pride, forget your disappointment and give us some credit!
