Talks over Edgar Street Ground

The decision to delay the building of a retail quarter on the cattle market site, as reported yesterday, makes the front page of the Hereford Times.

However there is a mention about Hereford United in their report.

Hereford United has been drawn into the future for the Edgar Street Grid. Preliminary talks over the potential development of the ground are uinder way between ESG and various interested parties.

Lawyers for Herefordshire Council, which owns the freehold for the ground, are examimg what options are possible for a report due out early next year.


The paper also mentions that should Herefordshire win its bid for a University it could be built at Blackfriars close to the Hereford United football ground.
