Hereford United manager Graham Turner has spoken to Trevor Owens this morning about the visit of Dagenham and Redbridge for tomorrow's FA Cup Tie.
"We need a win, we want to progress. There's a fair bit of finance involved. £20,000 prize money at stake. That's not to be sneezed at in the current climate. It's quite healthy money," Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"We need to win, there's no doubt about that. But it gets us away from the pressures of trying to get league points.
"If you are going to progress and play the glamour ties then you have to win tricky games likes this. And there's none tricker than this.
"We've got home advantage and we play at a pace now that is quicker than League Two football, so that should stand us in good stead.
"Dagenham we've had watched a couple of times. Quite direct and strong in the air and we've got to be able to match that.
"They're a big strong side - we've got to be able to contain them.
"Their front players could cause us problems.
"Quietly they will be fancying their chances. They will look where we are in the League and think we might just catch them right."
