News Round Up

Cheltenham have allowed midfielder Scott Brown to go on trial at Port Vale. He is one of the transfer listed players at Whaddon Road. Northampton have had to send former Bull Karl Hawley back to Preston as they needed the money to sign a loan defender due to an injury crisis. He scored twice in eleven games at Sixfields.

Chester are under another transfer embargo, according to new boss Mark Wright. He hopes to bring in a couple of defenders before next week's loan deadline. MK Dons have extended the loan of Jason Puncheon from Plymouth until the end of the year. Forest Green boss Jimmy Harvey has promised a shake up after his side lost again at the weekend. They have not won since Jamie Pitman left them for Edgar Street ten weeks ago.

Leeds have taken Cork City captain Dan Murray on trial. The 26 year old central defender started his career at Peterboro but has spent the last six seasons in Ireland. Yeovil have made a 'final offer' to Port Vale for striker Luke Rodgers. Boss Russell Slade says his side are one of three sides in the running for Rodgers' services.

Bournemouth have apologised to fans after the club shop was forcibly closed on Friday after Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs siezed goods to cover an outstanding PAYE liability. The club state that the payment was owing due to a 'third party administration error' on an old club debt and that the matter is being dealt with.
