Sinnott parts company with Port Vale

Another Football League manager has parted company with his club. The latest casualty is Port Vale manager Lee Sinnott.

It is understood that he was fired following a director's meeting this afternoon. Last Saturday Vale were defeated 4-1 at home by Macclesfield. The side included former Hereford United loanee Lee Collins but not former player John McCombe who is currently injured.

The manager’s fate was sealed following talks between the club’s directors this afternoon.

Vale have played just seven League games this season. Sinnott was in charge for 11 months, winning only nine of his 44 games in charge. He was previously at Farsley Celtic, taking the part time Leeds club into the Conference. Club stalwart Dean Glover, who spent six weeks in charge prior to Sinnott's spell, has taken temporary charge again.
