Most Hereford United supporters think of Edgar Street as their home and put up with one or two deficiences.
It is a stadium steeped in history and still ranks well against some of the new concrete stadia such as Chester. And you can park right next to it.
Unfortunately not all visitors see Edgar Street in the same light.
The reporter from the Wiltshire and Gloucester Standard was critical of both the stadium and the team after the visit of Swindon last Friday. He's unhappy at having to return for the Paint game between the two sides next month. And he lumped Cheltenham and Hereford together.
A few comments from his report:
In those two games against woeful sides (Bulls and Robins - ed) they have come away with one point, not six. They clearly need to develop a ruthless streak – and quick.
Hereford made little attempt to win the game after getting back level yet, at the final whistle, their players virtually did a lap of honour in front of delirious fans.
Shabby stadium, shabby team, and sadly another visit is booked to Hereford for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie on October 7.
As if a visit to Swindon is a treat - remember the problems there not so long ago.
