Former Wrexham manager Denis Smith wants the Dragons to follow the Bulls' example.
While it took the Bulls many years to regain their League status, they returned a transformed club - a fact not lost on Smith as he talked about Wrexham to the local press: "I hope they bounce back and I wish everyone well.
"But I know how hard it can be. To get out of any division is tremendously difficult and I have watched games this season in the Blue Square Premier Division. Oxford, who have been getting 8,000 gates this season, and York are two big clubs both in mid-table.
"It is not easy. People think you can walk over people but they will get a major surprise. There are some well organised clubs down there, particularly in the south. If Wrexham can consolidate next season, they are going to come back stronger.
"But it’s not the end. The team Wrexham played on Tuesday, Hereford, have proved you can bounce back. If they get promoted this season their manager Graham Turner deserves the manager-of-the-season award."
