Bulls Dump Dragons Out Of League

The Bulls have beaten Wrexham 2-0 in tonight's League Two match at Edgar Street, ending Wrexham's 87 year stay in the Football League.

Goals in each half from Gary Hooper and Theo Robinson were enough to see off a spirited, but ultimately fruitless, Wrexham side. The bulk of the 478 Wrexham fans, and several hundred of the Bulls contingent in the 3,739 crowd, clapped their players off after a hard fought game that the Bulls dominated for long periods.

The win sees the Bulls carry a four point advantage into the weekend matches, with Stockport to play Chester next Tuesday for their game in hand.

Full report later.
