Windy Conditions expected at Edgar Street

A very cold and gusty east wind is expected to blow at Edgar Street this afternoon which could prove difficult to both Hereford United and visitors Bury. However the pitch has dried out and any showers are expected to be light.

The conditions may suit manager Graham Turner more than Alan Knill as the Bulls often play better if they keep the ball on the ground as much as possible.

Turner will be hoping for a better gate after his interview on Sky last night in which he expressed disappointment with the support from Hereford.

With today's launch of the Junior Bulls, the season ticket holders extra free ticket and the visit of former hero Eric Redrobe, the gate should be somewhat higher than last Saturday when just 2,708 Hereford supporters out of a gate of 3,126 were said to be present.

However the last time the two clubs met at Edgar Street in September 2006 Bury brought just 185 supporters with them. It's not expected that they will bring many, if any, more this afternoon. Andy Williams scored the only goal in that game to give the Bulls three points.

Meanwhile there are ten League Two fixtures this afternoon. Of most interest to Hereford supporters will be how Darlington (4th) perform at Chester (19th), Wycombe(6th) likewise at Morecambe (9th) and whether Rochdale (8th), who have games in hand, can take three points at Notts County (22nd).
