Hereford United defender John McCombe told BBC Hereford and Worcester that he was very disappointed with the referee's decision to award a penalty to Stockport this afternoon. McCombe was yellow carded for impeding striker Liam Dickinson.
"I don't know why he's given it. He says that I pulled his shirt but I'd just thought I'd got my hand across him and tried to use my strength to keep him away from getting a shot in really.
"When he blow up I didn't know whether he was giving me a free kick or whatever as I thought it was 50/50 really. I was really surprised when he gave the penalty.
"I was saying to the lads I make those sort of challenges five, ten times in a game every week and one he's given a penalty today.
"I just thought it was shoulder to shoulder, 50/50, I didn't think it was a penalty to be honest."
