Hereford United coach John Trewick expressed pleasure with the contribution of winger Simon Johnson who had his first League Two start for the Bulls this afternoon.
"He deserved his start because he came on last Tuesday evening and did very very well. Showed a lot of life, a lot of pace, a lot of committment. Scored a goal and almost got a second with a cross shot.
"We felt we needed more penetration since Lionel's departure. We felt we needed a little bit more pace and penetration on the flanks and Simon has got that ability.
"I thought he had a solid game today. I thought he did fine. Did his defensive duties well.
"He can be pleased with his contribution."
