Hereford United coach John Trewick has told the Hereford Times that last night's performance at Wycombe 'was not a good and fluent performance'.
"With 25 minutes to go, we felt that we had to change something so we went 3-4-3 and took a little bit of a gamble that way and fortunately we managed to get back into it.
"It gave them a little bit of a problem to solve and, of course, you need a little bit of luck along the way - but was it luck?
"It was a great cross in from the left which Theo Robinson headed into the net and then we got a set-piece which ended up in the area and Simon Johnson smashed it into the net.
"We were not at our best but we have got a good result and it keeps us ticking over."
At the post match press conference Trewick also spoke:
"Results breed confidence and we are a very confident side at the moment. If you keep winning and drawing then obviously the players have got a belief and that had something to do with pulling it back.
"We are not happy with that performance and I know we can play a lot better, but we are happy with the result and the tenacity we showed to come back.
"We changed the system to become more attack minded and I'm delighted we've been able to keep our unbeaten run going.
"Promotion was something we set our sights on at the beginning of the season. We are not at the top of the league through a fluke. The players have deserved it but we must keep it going."
Meanwhile defender Trent McClenahan talking to BBC Hereford and Worcester reminded supporters that the squad is short of fit players at present.
"We have had a lot of injuries recently; the last couple of weeks there have been a lot of players going out, which has been difficult.
"We have got a small squad, but we have got to get over that and it gives the youngsters and other people a chance."
