Charlton are chasing Peterboro pair Craig Mackail-Smith and Aaron MacLean according to press reports. The pair signed long term contracts on their arrival at London Road less than 12 months ago.

Wycombe have sent striker Reuben Reid back to Plymouth, with six months of his loan deal still to go. The 19 year old started just two games for the club since arriving in August, and leaves the Chairboys with just two strikers for the busy Xmas period. MK Dons have lost the services of flying winger Bally Smart after his three month loan deal expired. The club are hoping to get the youngster back in January.

Kidderminster are a target for fans website thepeoplesclub.com. Chairman Barry Norgrove will discuss the possibility of being taken over by the site at Thursday's board meeting. Rotherham have only one senior keeper after Jamie Annerson returned to Sheff Utd after a three month loan. Boss Mark Robins will rely on the emergency loan option as cover with only a pair of youth team stoppers available.

Shrewsbury have released forward Stuart Nicholson from his loan deal. The West Brom forward was due to remain at the club for the rest of the season, but scored just once in sixteen games. Lincoln have extended the stay of keeper Ben Smith from Doncaster for a second month.

Accrington boss John Coleman is sounding out Ipswich over a return to the Fraser Eagle Stadium for Gary Roberts. The winger has fallen out of favour at Portman Road, and Ipswich are open to offers. Stanley can't afford a permanent deal, but are able to offer a loan option with Ian Craney expected to leave them for a permanent move to Peterboro in January.

Mansfield boss Billy Dearden has told striker Danny Reet to get fit, or get out. Dearden has claimed the 20 year old is overweight all season and has extended his loan spell at Alfreton - coached by ex-Bull Nicky Law - until the end of the season, telling the forward that he will not make it in the full time game as he is. He has scored eight times from 14 appearances for Alfreton.

Bury have failed in a bid to secure loanee Lee Bullock on a permanent deal. The Hartlepool midfielder rejected the club's offer to try and fight for his place at the monkey hangers.
