Bury manager Chris Casper has told local media that the Shakers will have to be at their best if they are to take anything from the game against Hereford United on Saturday.
"We are looking to bounce back from the disappointing defeat to Wrexham in our last home game but we couldn't have asked for a tougher team to play against.
"Hereford are a very good side and they have plenty of experience all over the park.
"We are going to have to be on top of our game on Saturday."
Bury will be without captain Dave Challinor who is recovering from a knee injury and may also miss mid-fielder Lee Bullock unless his loan spell from Hartlepool is extended.
Meanwhile Hereford United manager Graham Turner has spoken in advance of the game to BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"Bury have good players and they can cause us serious problems, like Lincoln did last week.
"They had one or two players you respect and Bury are no different.
"We have reports, we look at the outline , but it's not about the opposition, it's about us.
"We have an outline of their strengths and how they might play, but it's not something we spend too much time on. We worry about our own performances first".
