The Bulls may be on the lookout for a new major sponsor with the news that stand sponsors Floors-2-Go are pulling out of Hereford.
Their Mortimer Road store began advertising a 'Closing Down' sale last weekend, a move that would end their presence in the County. Their nearest store after the closure is in Worcester. The deal included sponsorship of the stand, stewards jackets, and flooring for various areas of the stadium's facilities.
Their sponsorship was unpopular with supporters, many of whom still refer to the stand as the Len Weston, and it cost the contractors doing the paint job a sizable amount when they covered up to 100 cars in paint drops during the respray.
The company have sponsored stands at dozens of football stadia across the country, usually where they have one of their 130 stores, and would still enjoy national coverage if they chose to retain the stand at Edgar Street. No details on the length of the original deal were ever announced, but it is expected that no rebranding for a new sponsor - if required - would be done before the end of the season.
