UK Youth, a British charity that supports alternative education methods, are match sponsors for Saturday's match with Lincoln.
The charity, and Lincoln based education provider 7KS, are launching a Street Football programme in Kisumu in Kenya. Kisumu is Kenya's third largest city and the programme will support skills development amongst thousands of orphaned and homeless children in the city.
John Bateman, Chief Executive of UK Youth said: "The street football programme that we are supporting in Kisumu is run entirely by volunteers and helps some of the poorest young people in the world develop skills that assist them move from poverty and dependence into employment. Crucially football also provides a few hours of fun and enjoyment in what is a life constantly struggling to survive."
Hereford and Lincoln fans can support this programme by texting ukyouth (all one word) to 84424. Each text contributes just over £1 to the fund, costs just £1.50 and is a one off charge. Fans texting the number will also have the opportunity to win a signed Hereford United or Lincoln City replica shirt.
Tony Hammond, Chairman of 7KS said: "Football fans are amongst some of the most generous people and I am sure that supporters of both clubs will want to back this terrific initiative to help some of the poorest young people in the world via the beautiful game."
