Lincoln City may have left Edgar Street this afternoon feeling that after going down to ten men they were a touch unlucky to have been defeated by three goals to one but the statistics show just how much of the game Hereford controlled.
Although the Bulls had 61% of the possession against just 39% for the Imps, the visitors had 13 shots on target against ten for the Bulls.
In the game which perhaps had too many stoppages, Hereford committed 17 fouls and Lincoln 22.
Theo Robinson was booked for Hereford. He kicked the ball into the goal after the whistle had blown. He is now on three yellow cards.
Today's sponsors made Trent McClenahan and Toumani Diagouraga their men of the match. However the PA gave it to Ben Smith who was awarded an eight for his efforts. It was a just reward for the Hereford United captain who was making his 100th start for the club.
Several Hereford players received knocks during the game, but Trevor Benjamin looked to be back to full fitness when he came on as a substitute late in the game.
The Bulls move up one place in the table:
1 Milton Keynes Dons 19 23 41
2 Peterborough 19 16 37
3 Darlington 18 20 36
4 Hereford 19 16 36
5 Rotherham 19 9 36
6 Chester 19 9 32
7 Chesterfield 18 11 31
