News Round Up

York have sacked manager Billy McEwan after a dismal start to the season. The play off curse struck again with last season's fourth placed side currently lying 19th in the table, but they had won three of their last five Conference matches.

Lincoln are set to offload striker Steve Torpey to Farsley Celtic. The 36 year old's signing in the summer was met with derision by Imps fans, and is yet to score from 13 games. Fellow Imps striker Ollie Ryan has been given a three match ban for his dismissal on Saturday. Ex-Bull Chris Mackenzie has finished his loan spell at Kidderminster. The 35 year old played 11 times for Kiddy.

Altrincham are fuming again after another club were only given a slap on the wrists for the same offence they were docked 18 points for. Boston, now in the Conference North, played Tom Matthews in the first three games of their season without international clearance from Australian side Richmond - incidentally the same club involved in the Alty case. Boston received a written letter of warning, but will have to face a Conference disciplinary committee over the matter.

Shrewsbury have signed Port Vale midfielder Shane Tudor on loan for two months. The former Cambridge and Leyton Orient man joined Vale in the summer, but is not in new manager Lee Sinnott's plans.
